I first fell in love with the “tiny trees” at the Minnesota State Fair. A former co-worker from a hobby job, Terry Bishop, was into bonsai and suggested that I check out the Minnesota Bonsai Society.
Visiting masters are a wonderful way to further your understanding of bonsai. Every time we have one visit, we seem to be left with a golden nugget of wisdom which becomes the topic of discussion for the society at large.
We just finished our Annual MBS Tour and Picnic and there was so much to see and eat…what a great opportunity to visit six local bonsai member’s collections and gardens and then to gather in friendly social chatter.
